Methods of Changing the Folder Background in Windows 7 and 8:
Method 1: For Windows 7
For changing the folder background in Windows 7 operating system, you have to download the Windows 7 Folder Background Changer application for doing so.
After downloading the application, install it and run the program as administrator. Select the browse and choose for the folder that is to be changed. Then click on the ‘change background image’ and browse for the image to be made as background for the folder. Select the black color for the color of the text for the folder.
If you want to make this to be same as for the sub-folder, select the Apply to Sub folders.
Method 2: For Windows 8 and 8.1
The software doing the change in folder background in Windows 7 operating system is not supported for Windows 8 and 8.1. You have to download another software for changing it. Download the WindowsBlinds application from Stardock, it is a paid application but a 30-day trial is available on the site. Download and install the software. Open the application after rebooting your system, select the Continue Trial option.
Open the Backgrounds tab present on the right-side tab, after that select the Explorer Background tab and click the texture according to your choice. There will be ‘create texture’ option present for selecting the file for choosing as the File Explorer Background. Select the image and there will be an option for selecting the portion or selecting the image as a whole.
After this, select the Apply Style option for making the changes to be applied. WindowsBlinds will change the Folder background by restarting the explorer.
