Windows, World’s most popular Operating system has been upgraded with its latest version, Windows 8.1. The previous revolutionary version of it was Windows 8. Following simple steps will allow you to bring My Computer icon to your Desktop.
How to Show My Computer Icon on Desktop in Windows 8 and 8.1
Step 1 :
On the Desktop you would see a MetroUI part of the Window. By clicking here you would be shown simple normal desktop.
Step 2 :
On the blank space, right click and a menu will open. Select Personalize option given there. This option will be the last one in the menu.
Step 3 :
On personalization window, at the left side bar you would see a Change desktop icons option. You are requested to click on to this option.
Step 4 :
On the same Window, a new Window will open with Desktop icon settings. Tick on to the Computer icon given in the list. You can bring the Recycle Bin and Control Panel too on the desktop to get on to the things quickly right from the desktop. This will give you a quick access to uninstall a particular program from your PC.
Step 5 :
Click on to the Apply button given at the end of the page, close down the Window and you would see all the ticked icons on the desktop like the other Windows versions.
