Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Technical Preview as the early version of the OS, giving the people a glimpse about the OS and answering the expectations present in their minds. The technical preview gives a view how the operating system will look like and how will it work. You can also install the Windows 10 Technical Preview for your Windows 8.1 system and experience it.

Steps of Installing the Windows 10 Technical Preview on Your System:

Step 1:

First of all maintain the backup of the important files and folders for future use and workings present in your Windows 8.1 operating system. Try to perform partition of the Hard disk for installing the Technical Preview in the partition. There is a no process for downgrading from the preview to Windows 7 or 8.1.



Step 2:

Download the Windows 10 Technical Preview ISO file for the system according to the bit version 32 or 64 one. The 64-bit ISO file is about 4GB so think before downloading as it will take a lot of time to fully download.

Step 3:

After the downloading process finishes, just transfer it to an external storage device whether a pen drive or DVD, for transferring the ISO image to a pen drive, you have to get the Microsoft USB Tool. Download and install it in your device.



Step 4:

You must decide on whether you want to choose to install the fresh version of the technical preview or just want to upgrade from the present Windows 8.1 operating system. If you want to install and start fresh then restart your computer and boot from the external storage device (USB/DVD), follow the instructions prompting on the screen. If you want to upgrade from the existing version, then just click the setup present in the USB/DVD drive.

Step 5:

After this, now you have completed the installation and installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview. The expiry date of the license of the technical preview is the end of April 2015, but before this another preview will be released by the company.



You should try to do a clean installation of the preview in a separate partition or separate hard drive.
